Located in the Carolina Forest shopping center off of River Oaks Dr. Were food lion and the gas station are located you will find this nice restaurant/sports bar they have a lovely outdoor partially enclosed dining area with bar this is were the Karaoke takes place. During the summer there are usually a game of corn hole being played out front. I have ordered a few drinks and I'm not sure if it was the times I went or what I ordered there has not been one mixed drink made to my liking but there food on the other hand I believe to be amazing and worthy of the price for it. The restaurant is always clean and I have not experienced any type of behavior that would have me concerned for my family's safety so no drunken bar fights. It seems to be just a great place for locals to come meet and mingle. There spaghetti is superb and salads are fresh I was told by a waiter there that all of there food was prepared in house made fresh he said that there pizza dough was made fresh everyday as well as many other things and it seems the pizza is a big hit among those that visit frequently. Well I hope this helps In making your decision whatever it may be.

Horrible experience. We waited for a couple of hours to see a game only to find out at game time that they only had four cable boxes and wouldn't show the game we wanted to see. When we asked, management was rude and dismissive. No chance I would ever go back there.

Great new place here. It's a restaurant and a bar in a new shopping center. It has a large outdoor bar and restaurant section that is heated and has lots of t.v's. The indoor part is just as nice. The bartenders are exceptionally friendly and the food was good. Great place to watch sports games and it has good live entertainment. Very accepting of all sports teams so you don't feel like you are in a SC place only.

Oh my gosh, what a bust dinner turned out to be. All I had hoped for this evening was to be served a fair meal and review the Tavern in the Forest favorably. There's no way I can figure out how, not even a chance, sad to say. The table was as sticky as a fly trap with all sorts of foreign objects collectively stuck to the surface. When the drinks were set down they not only stuck to the table, a white coagulation appeared, some mixture of table excrement and H2o had begotten a murky, slimy type liquid as condensation from the glass began. So gross, I actually drank the water and was beyond concerned for the future of my innards for the night. The bingo guy was a character, he began screaming at a patron directly behind me, five minutes into my meal, not even six inches from my back and three inches from my ear, "Seriously dude..!!!". He exclaimed loudly not once--not twice--but three times, modulating more brashly and ear piercing with each outburst. He continued blathering some nonsense about a patron of Tavern that Should Remain Deep in the Forest, parking too close to his beater, piece of crap car in the lot, as I was on a important business call. Keeping it classy bro. The starter salad may have been the culinary bright spot of the evening, how bad can you screw up a plain salad? I'm afraid to ask. The Homemade Meatballs were tolerable, the sauce was not. Soupy, flavorless and borderline offensive, add in one lonely and deflated half arsed garlic knot and I couldn't get the check and get out fast enough. Our server who was unaware of what black pepper was truly was a sweetheart and did a nice job serving our table.

This review is based on their "restaurant " side of the operation. It seems like a good bar, but dont bother getting any food besides the pizza. The waitress was good until she disappeared for a little while as we were waiting on the check. Seating in their booths is very uncomfortable!

Service is hit or miss. Nothing significant on the menu with a poor choice of beers. Karaoke can be fun but is constant.

I go here just for their pizza. It's a bar/tavern so service is what it is..... But the pizza is amazing! If your a pizza snob like me and your in there area check it out. Good local spot

Every time my husband and I have tried to stop here for a drink recently (different months, days and times) they have been running karaoke. I have no problem with karaoke, but unless it is a karaoke bar I don't want to see it all the time. We stayed and had drinks for one of the karaoke nights, which happened to be the day I got a new cell phone that I was playing around with. The DJ approached me and asked if I was video taping (I wasn't). He told me that they have a lot of minors there doing karaoke (WTF) and they've had legal problems in the past with people video taping them (ya think?). The minors included kids under 15. What in baby jeebus' name are you allowing kids under 15 in your bar at all, let alone past midnight? I will not be returning, I get a babysitter for my kids when I go out for a reason, I don't want to be at a bar late at night with other people's brats.
